Mathematical Olympiad
Welcome to the official home page of "Third Bangladesh Mathematical
Olympiad". Yes ..from 24th December the 3rd olympiad is starting
and the first venue is Rajshahi. This year the festival will be
held in a larger manner than 2004. Ten more districts are included
in this third festival which are Rajshahi, Rangpur, Comilla, Khulna,
Barishal, Sylhet, Dhaka, Faridpur, Mymensingh and Chittagong.
The divisional winners will then join the nationwide festive in
Dhaka in 18th-19th February, 2005. Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad
(BdMO) started its journey in April 2001.With the dedicated endeavor
of the members of the committee, the daily newspaper "Prothom-Alo"
and the "Dutch Bangla Bank Limited "(DBBL), BdMO arranged
the first Mathematical Olympiad of Bangladesh in 2003 . In 2004,
Bangladesh achieved the full membership of International Mathematical
Olympiad (IMO). IMO 2005 will be held in Mexico and the winners
of the third Bangladesh Olympiad will join IMO 2005 as the representative
of Bangladesh.
