transmission in late 1964 with objectives of dissemination of
information , extension of education, motivation for development
activities and entertainment. It has a terrestrial coverage of
93% population through 15 relay stations .Our average transmission
time around 12 hours a day ; an additional 3.5 hours of transmission
on Friday morning .We rely on mixed programming system with an
audience maximizing goal .Of the program contents , 75% are local
and rest imported of which News(20%) , developments and educative
(30%), cultural and entertainment (35%) and others (15%).program.

on May 20, 1979. From the very beginning, the founders of the
society maintained close liaison with various government and international
bodies to fulfill it's goal. Although amateur radio was allowed
prior to 1964 in what was then East Pakistan, licenses were revoked
at the outset of the Indo-Pakistan. After the war of independence
